From 2014 - 2017, Ashley taught in the CFP programs at UC Berkeley Extension and Golden Gate University. He served as a Knowledge Circle host for the Financial Planning Association's International and Cross-Border Knowledge Circle (2017 - 2019), and is a regular conference speaker. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in Australia making him one of the few financial advisors qualified in multiple countries. Dr. Matt J. Goren, CFP® directs the GFP Institute’s curriculum and assessment. He is a professor of financial planning at The American College of Financial Services. Formerly a professor at the University of Georgia and at UC Berkeley, he has created and taught courses on topics ranging from investments to cultural psychology and statistics.

He has appeared on NPR and in USA Today and Kitces.com. He is a regular columnist at Kiplinger.com and his radio show Nothing Funny About Money won the AFCPE’s Best Consumer Financial Information Award.

Matt lives in Athens, GA and is a regular world traveler, hiker, news junky.

Jack Buttjer is a Marketing Technologist and Founder of House of Work. Jack is helping independent RIAs become digital-first with digital marketing and business automation. He has helped dozens of firms worldwide grow their AUM to upwards of 400%. Jack has a background of knowledge when it comes to website development, CRM development, search engine optimization, conversion rate optimization, video and audio production, copywriting and digital advertising. He enjoy's the creative aspect of marketing the most but also values the relativity of data and analytics when making business decisions.

Eliza Priest is the GFP Institute's Community Manager. She completed her masters in Nursing in 2013 at UC San Francisco. She practiced as a Nurse Practitioner for seven years before deciding, with her husband, Ashley Murphy, to move to Brisbane, Australia where he grew up.​

She plans to continue this while she applies for the proper visas in Australia to be able to work as a nurse practitioner. Eliza enjoys cooking, reading, volunteering with refugee/immigrant community organizations and is happily busy raising two young girls and settling into life in Australia! ​
