Working From Abroad

Home

Hi everyone,

I am an expat who is a career changer. I travel frequently and mainly stick to latin america (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina). My background is in expat tax and investing. I have been reading up on the expat niche and it seems that within financial planning, that the compliance and registration is incredibly complex.

I have no interest in living in the USA, and for compliance reasons it seems that most expat firms are U.S. based. So I was wondering for someone like me who loves working with expats, has a tax and investing background, and doesn't want to only stick to one country...What would be a decent career path within this space? Should I go back to tax, offer some form of financial coaching, financial counseling? I was very excited to continue working with expats like I did in tax but it seems a bit unrealistic.

Could anyone here give me some insight. I really love this niche and got interested in it because I was trying to solve my own problems as an expat. Is there a way I can make this work?

Best,

Nick
