Ashley Murphy, GFP (USA/AUS) CFP® AIF® is a tri-citizen of the USA, Australia, and the UK. He is the founder and Principal of Arete Wealth Strategists Australia, a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm for Australian/American expatriates in the United States and Australia. Upon settling upon his target market of Australian-American-British expatriates, Ashley grew his firm’s revenue almost 300% in 18 months. In pre-Covid times, Ashley would travel around the U.S. regularly to visit clients and would spend a month in Australia each year with his family to keep current on their financial planning issues, visit clients and attend conferences.​

From 2014 - 2017, Ashley taught in the CFP programs at UC Berkeley Extension and Golden Gate University. He was formerly a Knowledge Circle host for the International and Cross-Border Knowledge Circle with the Financial Planning Association (2017 - 2019) and is a regular conference speaker. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in Australia making him one of the only financial advisors educated in both advice markets. Ashley has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, profiled in Financial Advisor Magazine, and has written several guest-blogs for Michael Kitces’s Nerd’s Eye View.Ashley presently lives with his wife Eliza, and daughters Elise & Jasmine in Brisbane, Australia. He enjoys cycling, reading, and world travel. He is a futurist with interests in architecture, renewable energy, and demographics.

Johnathan Rankin founded Theorem Wealth Management, a retirement focused wealth management firm, after a 12-year tenure at Merrill Lynch, where he was a First Vice President. He also held numerous leadership roles, including Resident Director, where he oversaw an office managing $9 billion in client assets. He found that he was able to deliver the most value to clients by systematically managing not only their plans and investments, but also their stress and anxiety around goals like retirement. For the past 15 years he has help clients manage every step of the retirement process.

Johnathan is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ and a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, where he earned a degree in Economics with a focus on business management. In 2019 he was named a Forbes Best-in-State Next Generation Wealth Advisor*, an accolade that represents both quantitative and qualitative achievements in his work within the wealth services field.
